Programme. Through a basic knowledge of Flashscripting and Actionscript 2 workshop participants will be asked to project an interactive artwork/game to be part of the Drupstuff project. Participants should have strong interest for everything representative of new forms of interaction of art in design. Mr. René van Engelenburg will be assisted by Mr. Gijs ten Cate, media and interaction design expert.
Conditions
- The workshop does feature instant translation into Italian,
- a tutor will be present and available for all participants

- The maximum number of participants in the workshop is 25

René van Engelenburg

René van Engelenburg projects media installations and performances for public spaces. The main objective is to create, via the communication project and appropriate knowledge of new  technologies, projects that are strongly characterized by interaction with the public. His multi-disciplinary approach has lead him to hybridate visual arts, architecture and design; Over the course of the years he has realized projects for:  Rietveld pavilion, Inflate the Rietveld! (2002), International Landscape Triënnale Apeldoorn, Van Engelenburg designed Invisible Work (2008). In 2004 he founded the Pleinmuseum Foundation which aims to realize platforms for contemporary art and for temporary inteventions in public spaces... Authentic interactive installations in public locations.
In June 2009 he presented, at the Venice Biennale, a second DROPSTUFF platform: a platform for media, art and that is capable of transmitting digital and interactive works by designers and artists who belong to the Dropstuff Hotspot network.
